Lungfish combine gills with functioning lungs, leafy seadragons disguise themselves as drifting vegetation, loggerhead turtles use powerful jaws to crush marine prey, and lyrebirds can build much of their song around sounds learned from their surroundings.

Ladybirds are beetles. Leopard seals are not cats. Lionfish are not mammals. A locust is a particular behavioral form of certain grasshoppers rather than a completely separate insect group.
